Tonight brought with it the highly anticipated return of NBC’s ‘The Voice.’
Kicking off its season 8 with original judges Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Christina Aguilera, the trio welcomed Pharrell Williams to the fold again to christen the next generation of pop’s top talents.
Continuing her domination of the channel’s lineup tonight, the vibrant Aguilera hit the promo trail for the series by taking to ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ to show off her funny bone. Lending her best impression of pop icons Cher and Britney Spears, tuck in to see Xtina nail an impersonation of her former rival and more!

I know I am late on this topic, although I felt Gaga did a remarkable job at the Oscars, I can’t help but wonder why wasn’t Christina asked to do the tribute? If anyone has followed her career will know that in majority of her interviews she has praised Etta James and Julie Andrews/Sound of Music as bring her saviors. I know some will argue that she may over sing it but that’s subjective. I wish people would stop acting like she over sings ever song, she has her refined moments. And I honestly believe that with the SOM being so close to her heart, she would have done majestically.
Christina could not pull off the sound of music, that requires flawless operatic technique. Christina would 100% over sing that and would be growling the whole way through. Gaga was a much better and 100% spot on choice. I like Xtina but you’re reaching
Well that’s your opinion and you are entitled to it. I personally believe that Christina would have done justice to her childhood beloved. When it comes to do doing covers of classics she is always spot on: from John Lennon’s Mother, to both Janet and Michael’s Black Cat and Dirty Diana, to Rose Royce’s Carwash, her cover of America the Beautiful for Rock The Vote, most notably Patti LaBelle’s Lady Marmalade and James Brown’s It’s a Mans World…need I continue?

You know, I have come to noticed this. When she does a cover of a song she really is amazing, as even seen here with the Britney Spears, Cher, Shakira impersonation; and even on The Voice when she is coaching her team and singing the songs to them, she is truly mind blowing. However, for some strange reason when covers her own material she’s hit and miss and I Love Christina and can admit that. But yeah man when she does a cover of a song she is a beast. If you do you’re homework you’ll notice this too.

So I had a thought between personal preference and being prejudice; where is the line drawn. This thought originated from when I ask my mom why she wasn’t watching HGTV and she said she wasn’t watching the channel because Ellen’s show was on and because she a lesbian (which conflicts with her Christian beliefs). Then I thought “Well what if a person didn’t want to select someone for a job or whatever not because of qualification purposes but because their race doesn’t go with their personal preference. Or in other words my mother wasn’t buying into Ellen’s product because she’s a lesbian, just as CEO won’t higher a persons outside their race for a product because of their race differs from their own.

Oh wow she looks good! I’m getting the Back to Basics era but modern. And this is awesome to see Christina having fun! Her spark must be really blazing cause she has a role on ABC’s Nashville coming up, then a Broadway 4D song via Evita coming this year, then her tv show she producing, plus The Voice, then in article with TIME she recently mentioned she missed the Grammys because she had a deadline to finish a soundtrack, so my girl has been busy and I hope all this translates to her new album!
