Azaleans still disheartened by news their fearless leader pushed back her ‘Great Escape’ tour to the fall were greeted with great news this morning.
For, in lieu of a Nick Jonas/Tinashe-assisted Stateside tour touching each cost of the U.S. this spring, Iggy Azalea has instead returned to the studio to put the finishing touches on her highly anticipated sophomore album, the follow-up to 2014’s ‘The New Classic.’
Now, as revealed in a new interview, if the Aussie rapstress has her way, not only will the album line record shelves before the year’s end, but pop princess Britney Spears will see her name line the set’s first single.
Exciting news below:
“The rapper shared that news in an interview with the Associated Press, noting that when she does release her sophomore effort, the Britney collaboration, “Pretty Girls,” will likely be its first single.
‘”I love Britney. She’s super sweet and I just want to hang out with her all the time,” she said. “I saw her at Toys “R” Us randomly; she lives right down the street from me. …Since I’ve met her now we keep bumping into each other in the street.”‘
“I didn’t anticipate having any time to completely finish it, but now that I have kind of the time,” she said. “I’d love to have an album at the end of 2015.”
