‘Atlantic Records‘ may have a slight problem on their hands if remarks made by British rapper Lady Leshurr make their way to Camp Nicki Minaj ears this week.
For, after fans slammed her decision not to sign with the label when they asked her to compete with the US rapper, Leshurr has taken to Twitter to reveal the offer was far more sinister than most are aware of.
Why those who were confused by her move may now want to think twice before slamming it?
Her story below…
After catching wind of this report, the lyricist revealed from the bottom up:
Opting not to specify which arm of Atlantic’s body reached out to her to record the diss track, Leshurr’s explanation comes after some Minaj fans blasted her for “chickening” out of competing with her on healthy musical ground.
Here’s hoping her reasons for backing out of the deal are clearer to said supporters.
If Leshurr had taken the offer she would have followed in the footsteps of Baltimore native Keys Da Beast, the female rapper who generated attention for herself online in 2010 when she released a remix of Minaj’s ‘Itty Bitty Piggy‘, dissing the star.
Minaj is yet to respond.
