‘Stream Queens’: Ciara & Iggy Azalea Sizzle & Soar On ‘VEVO’

Published: Friday 13th Mar 2015 by David

After finding a label sister in ‘Prisoner of Love’ performer Mariah Carey, Ciara joins Iggy Azalea to stand as one of two acts with good reason to celebrate this morning…both making major gains on the video sharing platform ‘VEVO.’

How fans of the Southern belles have pushed them to commendable heights in the last week?

All will be revealed, below…

The visual for Harris’ new single ‘I Bet’ impacted the platform on March 9th and has already been watched for a total of 9 years.

Yes, when the amount of time each viewer spent watching the clip is totalled, ‘I Bet’ can boast of being spun for the equivalent of nine years…in just four days.

The clip crossed the 500,000 spins barrier in the hour it was unveiled and currently sits at the 4,124,076 views mark and was played 1,442,403 times on March 11th.

Unfortunately, the clip has done very little to boost the star’s subscriber account, only attracting 963 new supporters after it was shared 14,158 times in the same space of time.

Elsewhere, Iggy Azalea‘s ‘Trouble‘ video makes its way to higher streaming ground this week, crossing the 8.5 million views plateau two weeks after it touched down on Pop soil.

The jam is the latest to be lifted from her latest body of work ‘Reclassified’ and has now seen its video shared 18,966 times online and drive 5,054 new YouTube subscribers in the ‘My World‘ performer’s direction.

As if that wasn’t enough to give the performer good reason to continue pushing the single, she’ll be pleased to learn that the visual has now been watched for the equivalent of almost three decades…29 years to be exact.

These stream queens aren’t the only chart staples with good news to celebrate today.

That’s right, for joining them to pop open an imaginary bottle of bubbly is Rihanna’s fan base!

For, their undying support of the ‘Home’ provider has seen her nab her latest platinum jam with the single ‘FourFiveSeconds.’

The release has now sold 1,102,000 units in the US alone and does so as Taylor Swift‘s ‘1989’ locks lips with the 4,504,352 sales mark, reaching the enviable spot after Usher‘s latest single ‘I Don’t Mind‘ cruised past the 700,000 unit mark in the same market.

Tinashe‘s ‘2 On‘ picks up a Gold certification in Australia for sales of 35,000 units while Elijah Blake‘s ‘Fallen‘ takes a bite into the 705,000 units sold/streamed apple this week, reaching the milestone with sales of 139,000 units sold by digital retailers.
