Here at That Grape Juice, we’re always keen to spotlight titillating new talent.
So when superfly duo LION BABE roared onto the scene, it was only a matter of time before we caught up with them to discuss their breakout success.
Hailing from New York’s Lower East Side, the young group are comprised of Lucas Goodman and Jillian Hervey – the daughter of actress Vanessa Williams.
Familial ties may bring about comparisons, yet the duo are carving out their own success narrative thanks to their eclectic mix of R&B, Soul, and Electronica.
Having given the masses a meaty taste of their sound on their self-titled EP (which included the critically praised ‘Treat Me Like Fire’), LION are charging ahead full speed with their album debut (due on Outsiders/Universal Music later this year).
Boasting support from some the industry’s top names, the group have already recruited Pharrell Williams for the project. The hitmaker takes the helm of their whimsical new single ‘Wonder Woman,’ which landed online this week.
