The Mariah Carey machine is in full motion.
Mimi will release hits compilation ‘#1 To Infinity’ on May 18th. Primarily designed to plug her Las Vegas ‘#1’s’ residency, it appears the LP will also be used as a vehicle to push her new single ‘Infinity.’
Following this morning’s album tracklist reveal, the singer has now announced when fans can expect to hear the set’s sole new song. She also confirmed when its video will arrive.

Per her new label Epic, ‘Infinity’ (which was co-written and produced by Carey) will be released on April 27th.
Clearly going for an all-out release, the track’s accompanying video will premiere on the same day. Brett Ratner has been named as the clip’s director.
Boasting a long history with Mimi, Ratner’s previous visuals with the songbird include ‘We Belong Together,’ ‘Touch My Body,’ and ‘It’s Like That.’

I’m excited for Mariah’s next phase. I had a feeling she meant business with the last album and in truth she didn’t disappoint with the music or the vocals, she let the ball slip with promo, visuals and exercise.., but then who doesn’t slip a little when their heart and personal life is in turmoil? Brett might sound like same old same old but in truth some of her worst visuals have been by unknowns; he’ll light her well and make her work for her supper. Now I just need her to start getting her water aerobics on so she looks great in the tight, short and low-cut dresses she’ll no doubt be wearing regardless lol.
