‘Underground’ tells the story of slaves who hatch a plan to escape their plantation in the deep South to find safety and freedom in the North.
West recently signed on to produce music for the Sony series and has now launched an open casting call to fill a number of vacant roles in the project.
Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Christopher Meloni, and Aldis Hodge have all inked deals to star in the project and will begin filming in Louisiana on April 13th.
So, what is Mr. West looking for?

SHOOTING LOCATIONS: VACHERIE, BATON ROUGE, and ST. FRANCISVILLE
STORY LINE: Underground follows a group of slaves who plan a daring escape from a Georgia plantation to cross 600 miles to freedom, aided along the way by a secret abolitionist couple running a station on the Underground Railroad, as they evade those tasked with bringing them back, dead or alive.
