Drake is doing his part to help Apple wipe the floor with their new rival Spotify.
Why the latter may have a serious problem on its hands?
Find out below…
Reports had linked Kanye West to a an exclusive album deal with the company as they launch their very own streaming service.
Now, music lovers have learned that it is Drake who has signed on to do so with his brand new album ‘Views From the 6.’
The Verge reports:
Connect is designed to allow artists, both major and small-time, to share their output and connect directly with fans with lyrics, behind-the-scenes photos, remixes, and more. If that sounds familiar, it should — Ping, Apple’s shuttered social music network, hinged on connecting listeners to artists.
What this has to do with Drake? Well, Connect is the service he will use to release his new LP.
He had this to say about it:
Instead of having to post your stuff on these different and sometimes confusing places, it’s all in one place: Connect.
#BEYINSPIRED
What? BEyonce BEY “inspired” by everyone. Some call it that, others call it jacking.
She dropped hers on iTunes, not even Tidal so there is no connection whatsoever. Try again.
Beyonce dropped hers on iTunes ELEVEN MONTHS after Billy Idol did. #BeyACopyCatAndStealTheCredit
LMAO the market is officially SATURATED. Anyway my Spotify premium account works just fine, I’ll stick with that. Drakeisha can go have several.
I actually agree with this
“If you’re itchin’ to give it a go, you’ll have to wait until the end of June. On the 30th, you can try Apple Music for free for three months, but after the trial period expect to pay $10 a month. Like Spotify, Rdio and others, there’s a family plan that allows up to six people access for $15 a month through iCloud Family Sharing. There’s no word on an on-going free tier like Spotify, Pandora and the like offer.”
‘
$10 for Apple music or whatever? Nope, my Spotify premium account is more than sufficient.
I’ll stick with Tidal
Beys impact with Tidal though…..
I’m getting tired of all these streaming wars…however the good news is they will be doing their best to outdo each other and that can only benefit the consumer so hell yeah
Another album already???
Jungle was a mixtape
Views from the six will be almost 3 yrs since his last
If you already reading this?
If they (Apple and Tidal) want to take from Spotify, then they are going to have to cut the price because so far they’re all the same. And these exclusives are just taking away from sales. But I’m cool with free Spotify, haven’t felt a need to buy yet.
Damn u broke b**** how do you listen with all those ads??
Everytime I’m on it, there’s a “watch this video for 30 mins of ad free” option. Plus an ad is only 30 secs, so 30 secs every now or then Vs $120 a year. Hummmmmmmmm
.
Any music I really want, I buy.
That was not shade by the way I was just curious cause I can’t stand when those ads cut of my playlist flow I personally prefer Tidal because of the sounds quality and their catalog is really on point they have a bunch of European artist
Beyinspired however I bet she won’t drop a Tidal exclusive album. #thefloppage
Now Drake album will be a problem for other live stream rivals. But, Kanye west I don’t think they made the right decision with his next album. Apple haven’t been paying attention to Kanye west single not climbing the billboard charts.
Watch the same media and people who hate on tidal wil be praising apple for doing the same thing
because most blacks don’t support other blacks, they will ride apples’s d*** and sh-t ona black owned company like Tidal.
So does this mean that his album will be released through Apple & Streamed through them first? What’s the difference between what Beyonce did & what he’s doing?
If you’re reading this, you shouldn’t do this.
I watched the presentation and I just LOL. This service brings almost nothing new to the table, literally a copy of Spotify and (gasp) Tidal. It’ll sure wipe the floor with the latter though. As for me, Spotify Premium works perfectly fine, and they’ll see millions of others agreeing when this does below expectations, just like how iTunes Radio was supposed to put both Pandora and Spotify out of business.
Streaming is the devil!
Smh so now we’re going to have to buy all these different streaming subscriptions just to hear our favorite artists’ albums. This is getting crazy. And it’ll be interesting to see how many people support Apple for doing the same thing Tidal is doing. I’ll stick with Tidal because they have more superstars Lls.
There gonna be a lot of wars going on
