Leona Lewis is on a quest to redefine with new album ‘I Am.’
The set, due globally on September 11th, marks the songbird’s first since taking flight from Simon Cowell’s SyCo and settling in a new label nest over at Island/Def Jam.
Having warmed up the masses with taster cut ‘Fire Under My Feet,’ the skilled vocalist seems keen to showcase what else she’ll be serving up.
In a freshly unwrapped video, the London bred singer previewed new songs including ‘Thunder,”Ladders,’ and ‘Power.’

Have a stadium of seats. Leona sounds nothing like Beyonce and her vocal skill can’t be compared to either of them. We already use Reclassified for a coaster, Leona is for the headphones.
Leona is in a league of her own. She is compared to the likes of Whitney and Mariah. Say all you want about her, but vocally, Leona smashes Beyonce.

Power sounds good. Overall album sounds solid. She just needs to do some promo. Leona is criminally underrated as a vocalist.
The album sounds cohesive. Let’s get a nice second single. “I Got You”, “Another Love Song” and “Power all sound like single contenders.

Her previous album was pretty good too in an Adult Contemporary territory. Also, her Xmas album a couple of years ago was the best Xmas album released that year.
But in the end the problem is she lacks personality in her voice. It is a very good one. But when you start your career being compared to Mariah Carey it is never going to end well. You will always look bland. Same happens with Ariana and the rest (well actually Ariana wishes she could have had the success Leona had in her first two years of career, so imagine how Ariana´s career will go).
Bye! Arianas career is doing great and she is only going up from here.

Holy cow I did not expect this album to sound so amazing. She does not disappoint with her records !! Ugh I’m already mad because this deserves to sell 10 mill WW but will barely sell 100k.

Very nice voice but her voice lacks that personality and the material is very safe A/C and to compete with today’s pop chicks she needs bring it a little harder and appeal to everyone.
