A day after the release of ‘Woman’ – the fifth studio release from singer/actress Jill Scott – industry analysts predicted the album would move less than 50,000 units its first full week.

Well, that was then.

For, as of this morning, the ‘Gettin’ In the Way’ wailer is getting in the way of competition gunning for the Billboard 200’s top spot next week.  See the latest upward revision of her new album’s sales and peep her give a show-stopping performance of new tune ‘Closure’ on ‘Good Morning America’ this morning:

‘Woman’ First Week Sales Prediction:  55,000-65,000

Debut Position:  #1

The numbers give Scott her second ride at #1 after her last album, ‘The Light of the Sun,’ beamed at the top of the Billboard 200 in 2011.
