Mariah Carey may be stationed in Las Vegas, but the seasoned songbird will be taking flight to European shores next year.
Details below…
The 45-year-old diva, who has enjoyed success with her current ‘#1 To Infinity’ show at The Colosseum, is confirmed to be mapping out a full fledged Euro run in early 2016.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ‘We Belong Together’ belter has made a major business shift that sees her move from the Creative Arts Agency to UTA. The latter will now represent Mimi in areas including music, film, television, digital, licensing and endorsements.
Touring, per the report, will be the first call of duty; Carey will – as has been routine – perform a series of Christmas shows in her hometown of New York in December. The European tour, which will be her first in 13 years, will commence the following Spring.

Kudos to Ms. Carey, who has in the last six months uprooted and replanted every important facet of her team (label, publicist, manager, and creative representation).
As for the European trek, yes, yes, and yes!
Granted most of Mariah’s recent albums haven’t sold strongly enough to serve as a vehicle for a tour, yours truly can remember being baffled at why the ‘Adventures of Mimi’ (which was erected in support of her blockbuster ‘Emancipation’ album) was limited to the US.
Perhaps, in light of the reality that few artists actually make money from music these days, Mimi has realised that she’ll have to do what she managed to avoid for much of her heyday – perform extensively… internationally.
Here’s hoping her voice is up to it. Because, as glad her Euro Lambs will be to see her, the region is renown for being ruthless if shows aren’t up to par.
