He had hoped she would be the Nicki Minaj to Lil Wayne.
Alas, the rapper T.I. has now confessed that is no longer on speaking terms with his protege’ Iggy Azalea after the public’s response to her racially-charged antics began to “slow him down.”
Bad news below…
He shared:
I’m a loyal partner and if I rock with you I’m going to rock with you. If we right, wrong, we’ll discuss that in the car. We going to get out of here right now, though. That’s just how I am. Right now I’m going to block the bullets, now go. Now when I say ‘Go’ [really] go. Don’t stand around and talk while I’m blocking bullets. You slowing me down.
Interesting.
One has to wonder when T.I. started to feel so strongly about Iggy’s actions. It certainly wasn’t after he learned of the homophobic and racist tweets she published shortly before he took her under his creative wing.
Unfortunately, like a number of industry power players who turned a blind eye to said tweets, Mr. ‘Mediocre’ only turned on the Aussie rapper when he realised that clued up critics on social media saw beyond the smoke’n’mirrors she’d built around herself to disguise what is (or isn’t) there.
Such a shame.
In better news Iggy is currently hard at work on her new LP with her sights set on a 2016 release!
