Rihanna doesn’t have any new music in the marketplace, but on the strength of her name has been tapped to cover NME‘s first free issue.
The Instagram model serves her usual brand of brash a-front of the publication, which arrives in the wake of confusion surrounding her eighth studio album (which after two years still has no attached release date).
Inside her accompanying interview, the 27-year-old had interesting words when questioned about chart-topping rival Taylor Swift and Roc Nation companion Kanye West.
See what we mean below…
Rihanna on stars joining Taylor Swift on stage:
“I don’t think I would. I just don’t think it makes sense. I don’t think our brands are the same: I don’t think they match, I don’t think our audiences are the same. In my mind she’s a role model, I’m not.”
Rihanna on Kanye’s Presidential bid:
“People are voting for [Donald] Trump; who wouldn’t vote for Kanye?” She continued, “I’m really, really elated with his speech. His speech was incredible.”
Ms. Fenty provided a well-informed explanation about her point of difference with Taylor; however, at this point, perhaps performing with a better seller is the best type of promo to jump-start this static ‘R8’ project of hers?
As for Kanye, she must be smoking whatever he was to co-sign that self-indulgent ramble of randomness he gave at the VMA’s.
