Her role in the hit Starz series ‘Power’ has turned her into one of the country’s more recognisable actresses.

However, the entertainment industry wasn’t always as welcoming to Ms. Naturi Naughton, formerly of the Urban Pop group 3LW who was reportedly booted from the trio by management shortly after their ascent to fame.

Alas, even after her alleged firing the singer would face many a closed door when the industry that had pushed the group to superstardom turned its back on her.

The star told her surprising story during an interview with the Hip-Hop outlet ‘Vlad TV‘ and after the aforementioned ‘Power’ was renewed for a third season this summer.
