Three years have lapsed since Christina Aguilera released her last album ‘Lotus’ and, with fans awaiting new music with bated breath, the diva looks set to reward their patience – doubly.
Details below…
During an interview on the TODAY show this morning, the singer opened up about her recent charity efforts, her upcoming return to The Voice, and – most interestingly – new music.
The 34-year-old revealed that she’s not working on one, but two new bodies of work. Of course, per her recent sessions with Da Internz, the first is her hotly anticipated follow-up to ‘Lotus.’
Interestingly, she confirmed that a Spanish language project is the second offering she’s cooking up.
The as-yet-untitled set will serve as her first since 2000’s ‘Mi Reflejo’ which is certified six times Platinum (in the Latin field) by the RIAA.

From where we’re standing, it’s a very smart play on Xtina’s part to re-affirm her Latin roots musically. Because, when paired with her Pop appeal, it will see her cover territory her competition can’t. And, after a difficult few years commercially, it should help her harness in a larger collective audience.
