She’s the globally recognised triple threat with a fan base that includes the likes of Beyonce, Madonna and President Obama.
We’re talking about Rita Ora of course, the Pop princess whose ideas have seen her become a formidable force in music, fashion and now television.
Unfortunately, the chart-topper may leave many of her fans dazed, distressed and confused this morning after she revealed that she hopes to remake the Crewe and Nolan classic ‘Lady Marmalade’….with Iggy Azalea and Miley Cyrus.
In an interview with The Sun Ora declared:
It’s always been my goal to create another ‘Lady Marmalade.’ I’m trying to round up the troops – I think it would be me, Miley Cyrus Charli XCX – she’d be fun – and Iggy Azalea
The world got its first taste of ‘Marmalade’ when it was recorded by the group Labelle in 1975. In 2001 it was revived by the artists Pink, Mya, Christina Aguilera and Lil Kim for Nicole Kidman‘s ‘Moulin Rouge’ and is said to have inspired the 2014 hit ‘Bang Bang’, recorded and released by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
What do you think of Rita’s plans to revive the jam?
