How time flies! Just ask fans of TLC.
A whole year has passed since the iconic R&B outfit made headlines when they launched a fan-funded Kickstarter campaign to finance their final studio album.
Supporters – including celebrities such as Katy Perry – bound together to assist the surviving members T-Boz and Chilli in the venture, which hit $430,000 by its climax.
With a whole year passed, what is the status of the record?
An update awaits below…
Speaking with Billboard this week, Chilli – real name Rozanda Thomas – said:
“We’re trying to finish up the album, and after today, [it will be] day in, day out, just getting this album done.”
The singer was coy about specifics, but did offer the following:
“I’ll just say this: We’re bringing back our interludes. We’ve come up with some really fun, funny stuff for people to.”
Time’s a’ticking, but we’re willing to be patient to hear what the ladies have cooked up.
Between the “final album” tag and fundraising approach, it does kinda sorta need to be all the way on-point, though.
