Beyonce found herself on the receiving end of criticism last week when she was accused of appropriating South East Asian culture to create her role in Coldplay’s ‘Hymn for the Weekend‘ visual.
This week, as she undoubtedly joins Jay Z to celebrate the release of Rihanna’s ‘ANTI’ LP, the icon has learned that the heat she faced has done little to melt her commercial power in the market.

The visual was shot in India and was condemned by critics who condemned it for presenting the country as “an exotic playground” with no regard for its layered and complex culture.
Fortunately for Beyonce and the Chris Martin-led band this criticism seems to have done little bother their Indian fans, as said fans have pushed the cut to #1 on iTunes.
The jam appears on their latest LP ‘A Head of Full of Dreams‘ and will be delivered live during their forthcoming set at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show.
