Beyoncé is close to making a new worldwide, multi-album deal with Sony Music, and the final release under the current deal is now set for April. But there are rumors of another Beyoncé album in 2016, this one a joint project with husband Jay Z. Beyoncé’s star power is off the charts—her stadium tour sold out within hours after the Super Bowl promo, including two nights apiece in New York’s Citi Field and Chicago’s Soldier Field.

Don’t get me wrong, Beyonce had some solid cuts but everything surrounding the release seemed to overshadow the music (which wasn’t as amazing as I wanted it to be). I think 4 was her best work since Bday, and it deserved as much attention as Beyonce but that’s just me….

The only albums I feel that rival BEYONCE is ‘4’ and ‘BDay’. I love the artistic edginess self-titled holds. Each cut was fearlessly explored. The ‘4’ album is just classic. It’s beautiful from top to bottom. ‘B’Day’ was just our first glimpse at seeing Bey delve into so much experimentation and fierceness. I really think those projects standout, but tbh B’s always had standout moments on every album.

You know what, I thought about the Joint Beyonce & Jay-Z album idea and I think it could work. I think it should be no more than 10 songs long and should have a theme like Babyface & Toni Braxton’s ‘Love, Marriage & Divorce’ album. I think the production should be a mix of B’Day (which was mainly a party album with catchy beats) and Watch The Throne (which had strong urban appeal). It would have made more sense to do this around the time of the On-The-Run tour, but it could still work now.
I’m fully invested in another Destiny’s Child album. Kelly and Michelle’s voices have grown so beautifully over the past few years and I’d love to hear those angelic harmonies again. And we all know that Beyonce is one of the finest vocal technicians of our generation, and she consistently delivers without fail.

As I’ve said before, I’ma need all of the girls to band together and buy the rights to the ‘Destiny’s Child name’ just like TLC did with Pebbles. It will work out better in the long run, and they are literally just 5M albums away from being the best selling US girl group of all time (which they could easily achieve through one more era)
