Ke$ha was dealt a devastating blow in court yesterday when her bid for release from her record contract with Dr. Luke and Sony Music was rejected by a New York judge.
The suit forms part of a bigger legal showdown, which sees the ‘Tik Tok’ singer alleging abuse at the hands of the hitmaker.
Jury’s out on what’ll become of the rest of Ke$ha’s case, but in the time since the judgement, support has flooded in from fans and her Pop peers alike.

A Change.org page set up by angry fans, who demand a “boycott” of the label, has amassed over 100,000 signatures – up exponentially from the 12,000 who inked their name in support of the cause just five ago.
Celebrities, including Lady Gaga and Wale, also took to the net to lend their sympathies…
Interestingly, none of the artists mentioned above are signed to any label under the Sony Music umbrella.
However, Kelly Clarkson – who resides at Sony’s RCA Records, did offer the following….

Okay, so i’m not a fan of Kesha and her music but this seems somewhat unfair. Record deals should be like football signings, and other companies should be able to either 1) but you out of your current contract or 2) if you don’t make music after a period of time you are automatically freed (not including pregnancy or non mental or stress related illness.. and maybe smoother stuff i haven’t thought of.

As sad as this is, I’m sure her next lead single will probably either debut or skyrocket all the way to #1 and stay there for a long time. But people will be buying the music for sympathy, which isn’t bad, but what many won’t realize is that they’d be unknowingly putting money in that p** Dr. Luke’s hands. He’s SURE to have writing and producing credits, so unfortunately it’ll be a win-win situation for him.
Well Kesha as much as this situation sucks, and my heart goes out to you, just be strong and endure as best you can. I’m not sure how many albums left you owe them but just release some “shortcut albums” You know like a greatest hits album or a remix album, just reworking your old material, that way you don’t really have to see him?
