Gwen Stefani is renown for taking risks, hence it was fitting that she embraced her daring nature during the 2016 Grammy Awards tonight.
No Doubt‘s front-woman teamed with Target to shoot a live music video for new single ‘Make Me Like You’ – which aired real-time between a commercial break.
Despite all the variables that could have gone awry, Stefani pulled it off without a hitch, proving that – after 20 + years in the business, she can still push the envelope in innovative ways.
It’s a point which in itself is a great coup for the singer ahead of the release of her third solo album ‘This Is What The Truth Feels Like’ (due March 18th via Interscope).
Watch after the jump…
Cool concept and excellent execution.
I really enjoyed her live video! I can’t wait to hear her album, too!
It was a cute video, but I don’t think the single will do well on the Hot 100. It’s too basic and unoriginal.
I like it. That was different. It kept me wondering what would happen next. Lol
I loved the music video. Cool concept, very Gwen Stefani from her past eras especially like “The Sweet Escape,” and also moved like a stage show/play. Then the tie up to show the layout and how it was all filmed in a Target logo. Great job!
Then how Gwen worked wonders making people think she actually fell, but it was the fake Gwen, and on purpose. LOL.
This song is VERY radio friendly. She will have no problems scoring a hit with this on the radio, which is what she needed. How cool to do a live video! I would have been so nervous.
love love love it !!!
