Years of phoned in performances have seen many sleep on her in recent times, but oh will she wake up the masses with her sizzling shoot for V Magazine.
The Pop megastar, who for all her inadequacies is still undeniably iconic, cuts a stunning figure on the double cover for the magazine’s 100th issue.

Of the decision to spotlight Spears, V editor Stephen Gan said:
“When looking for cover-worthy subjects for our 100th issue, we had to ask ourselves: Who do pop stars and musicians — who have become an integral part of what V represents — look up to and admire? There was only one answer: Britney….
[W]ho in our world did not grow up listening to her music? Plus, she’s spent some time out of the ether, which makes her reappearance all the more fun and surprising. Mario Testino’s pictures say it all: she’s in great shape, and about to hit us with new music any day now.”
There’s no denying, she’s slaying here.
All we need now are for her performances to channel the same ferocity.
Because, regardless of how renown her tone is, the reality is that she is most revered for her ability as a stage blazer. Unfortunate, as recent years have seen her serve up ice cold showings — even in the dizzying desert that is Las Vegas.
We’re rooting for her, we just need for all those around her to do the same and make every effort to ensure she’s able to compete in a way befitting of her icon status. She’s too young to be a nostalgia act.

Britney is more successful in album sales and that’s where it ends!!! Bey has more #1 albums, more #1 singles, world tour more successful, worth more money, better singer, and better dancer. Britney & Beyonce are more successful than Tooth paste singer Shakira and nothing will ever changer that.

If there was something other than her ability to slay a stage that I enjoyed from Britney during her prime, it was her ability to deliver some great photo shoots! My fav will always be her promotional shots taken for the ‘Britney’ album by the late, great herb Ritts. She looks amazing, especially on the second cover. I don’t really use her music apart from a few songs on her first four albums and her greatest hits compilations but she is a certified Pop icon and probably the pre-eminent one of her generation.
I don’t understand why people says she’s a great performer. She does a lot of whispering and stiff dancing on stage … bey is light years ahead of her
But Beys catalogue is light years behind. Britney is also known for her music. Everyone knows most of her songs since she sold 10milion each of her first two albums. Beyoncé on the other hand, has a crappy catalog and it’s getting more ratchet and worse.

Yet Bey is still cranking out #1 albums, top grossing tours and selling out stadiums, winning major award, and still makes more money. Meanwhile Britney is already in hasbeen-ville. Only thing Britney has is her PAST GLORY DAYS! She is irrelevant which is sad considering she came out a year after Bey did!

Even though Britney is one of the most overhyped pop acts ever, there was a short period of about 4 years that I really did enjoy her visuals and some of her songs. Blackout is the SHIIIIIIIIIIIT! One of my fav dance/pop albums. Kudos to Keri Hilson for putting that together for her

None of these girls are delivering half of what she delivered in her peak and you can hate all you want but it’s the truth. The moment this woman decides to put in work again and realises who she is and what she’s capable of your faves better run. Let’s just hope she does. It’s been far too long.
