Markedly more moody and mature than previously released efforts, the song and its parent LP are being billed as the “evolution of Ariana Grande.”

While the literalness of the title is irksome, the actual track delivers in earnest.
The rich, dramatic production serves as a stellar backdrop for Grande’s “grown” agenda and is refreshingly different to anything presently pervading radio.
What’s more, for all its left-fieldness, the song doesn’t deviate from the importance of melody and a strong hook – possessing both to infectious levels.
In many ways, Ari is selling the ‘ANTI’ concept better than RiRi.
