Weeks on, the label has confirmed the news – albeit subtly.

The refreshed roster page on Epic’s newly designed website sees Ciara’s name noticeably missing.
By no means an oversight, the up-to-date list already includes recent signees Puff Daddy and Jennifer Lopez – whose return to the label was announced just last week.
Per the initial source, Ci was granted release by Epic head L.A Reid after requesting it.
The news comes after the 2015 release of the singer’s 6th studio album ‘Jackie’ – which, despite yielding a Platinum hit ‘I Bet,’ did not fare well critically or commercially.
According to the diva, she is already working on her seventh LP.
