Report: Gwen Stefani’s ‘Truth’ First Week Sales Revised Upward

Despite a series of false starts and lukewarm received singles, Gwen Stefani‘s celebrity (see:  highly publicized romance with country singer Blake Shelton, stints on ‘The Voice,’ divorce, and more) is proving itself fuel enough to launch her third album ‘This Is What the Truth Feels Like.’

Yet, while early predictions had it the pop/ska-soaked set would lend Gwen her lowest first week sales to date, they also reported she’d lead next week’s Billboard 200 with album equivalent sales of 68,000-73,000.  Ousting ‘Work’ wailer Rihanna from the top spot, refreshed reports indicate Stefani will steal the #1 position with an amount even higher than previously projected.

Gwen Stefani is aiming for her first solo No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with her latest release, This Is What the Truth Feels Like.
