As reported, Rihanna features on the April 2016 cover of Vogue Magazine.
Beyond looking stunning, the digital diva’s comments within the inner-pages of the feature are equally as compelling. Especially when it comes to rival Beyonce.
For almost a decade, the singer’s respective fans have lit up the internet with their wars over who is better.
The ladies have rarely quelled the flames, rarely mentioning the other and, when crossing paths, posing for awkward pictures like the one above.
Breaking the routine silence, Rih addresses the drama in the interview.
Check out excerpts below…
On her SZA duet “Consideration”:
It’s “like a PSA … It might not be some automatic record that will be Top 40. But I felt like I earned the right to do that now.”
On “Only One” collaborator Paul McCartney:
“It’s almost like no one ever told him about his success. It’s like, Aren’t you busy being a Beatle?”
On Internet trying to pit Beyonce vs. Rihanna:
“Here’s the deal. They just get so excited to feast on something that’s negative. Something that’s competitive. Something that’s, you know, a rivalry. And that’s just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that.”
On her unisex designs for Puma:
“I always wanted to do what my brothers were doing. I always wanted to play the games they played and play rough and wear pants and go outside … Women feel empowered when they can do the things that are supposed to be only for men, you know? It breaks boundaries, it’s liberating, and it’s empowering when you feel like, Well, I can do that, too.”

Like Queen Latifah, we’re all for u-n-i-t-y here at TGJ, however let’s call a spade a spade.
Whether there’s any genuine bad blood between the ladies is anyone’s guess, but there’d have to be a special kind of Kumbaya at play for either lady to not (at the very least) be pressed by someone they are incessantly pit against. Even if only at a competitive level.
Right?
