Rihanna‘s ‘ANTI’ is soaring to success as far as chart positions are concerned.
Alas, when one takes a closer look at its sales, it becomes pretty apparent that album and its supporting era is struggling to keep up with her earlier efforts.
So, should the star’s fans be in dire need of good news they’ll be elated to learn that her ‘Loud’ era is still producing hit singles… almost five years after its release.
‘Man Down’, the Reggae-kissed cut recorded and release to support the Pop set, has now been certified 2x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
The best part about this ? It’s done so with little help from sales-equivalent streamed units.
The release nabbed its first certification on June 30th 2015 when it passed sales of 500,000 units and become a Gold cut.
Now, thanks to sales and streams, the release can be expected to find a friend in the 3x Platinum point before the year ends.
