Ciara Offers Update On 7th Studio Album

Published: Monday 18th Apr 2016 by Sam

For many, the number 7 signifies perfection; and for R&B siren Ciara it’s the route she’s she’s taking for her next studio album.

All eyes are on the stage blazer’s upcoming project for a number of reasons.

One of the main being that it’ll serve as her first offering after departing Epic Records earlier this year.

There’s no word yet on which label the project will arrive on, but CiCi is beginning to spill on the set. Albeit slowly.

See what we mean…

Speaking to ABC Radio while promoting her Billboard Music Awards hosting duties, the 30-year-old said of her new LP:

“I’m taking my time with it, I’m super, super excited about this project. You know, I really want to make sure that its truly my best yet, and also I want to take my time. I won’t say where I’m at with it but I’m super happy with how it’s going.”

When pushed for details pertaining to the sound of the songs she’s cooking up, newly engaged CiCi said:

“Lots of good songs, that’s all I’m going to tell you,” she says. “I ain’t gonna tell you too much right now.”

As for when the album will arrive, she concluded:

“You know darling, you’ll have to wait and see”

While Ms. Harris didn’t offer much, it is warming to know the album is progressing well.

It goes without saying that the ‘Jackie’ album was polarizing and that its accompanying campaign was (all sorts of) brief.

Fingers crossed her next swing of the bat proves more fruitful.

From a media standpoint, she hasn’t had this much goodwill in the longest. She’ll need to capitalise on it briskly and swiftly.
