The label are said to have offered the performer a deal worth £90 million ($130 million) following the release of the sales magnet that is her latest studio album, ’25.’
Adele’s deal with her original label XL expired and we’d an existing relationship with her in America.
The deal is being worked on by our Columbia label in the US, but is worth £90m and gives Sony the rights to release her future music exclusively around the world.
The star was represented by her manager Jonathan Dickens during negotiations and celebrates the news after learning the label also holds the record for delivering the biggest recording contract in history.
