VH1’s ‘Hip Hop Honors’ To Celebrate The First Ladies of Hip Hop

VH1’s ‘Hip Hop Honors’ is to celebrate the lives and legacies of Hip Hop’s leading ladies.

This year’s ceremony, which will mark its first in six years, will air live from NYC on June 11th and will  “pay homage to the female pioneers, trailblazers, and trend-setters who lead a movement and infiltrated the ranks of the male-dominated genre to make their voices heard and still do today.”

Queen Latifah and ‘Love & Hip Hop’ jefe Mona Scott-Young will produce the special and are yet to announce its honourees.
