Anticipation is at fever-pitch for Lady Gaga‘s return to the Pop sphere.
Three years have passed since the kick-off of her ‘ARTPOP’ campaign and, despite its disappointing performance, the singer has managed to turn the tide with a series of smart plays – including a Grammy winning Jazz album and an award-winning TV role.
Armed with said momentum, attention has turned to her next LP.
Speaking in a recent interview with Apple Music, the singer’s friend Elton John updated fans on the status of the project.
Excite and, perhaps, irksome news awaits below…
John said:
I’ve heard 2 or 3 songs from her new record, which she’s making with Mark Ronson, and it’s f—absolutely brilliant, so you’re gonna be really happy when you hear that later in the year or early next year. [Source]
Awesome to hear that the album is coming along well, but a potential 2017 release? Na uh. She gained a lot fire under feet over the last year and it’d be unfortunate for her to let it cool.
We’re team creativity, but time waits for no one. Even Gaga.
2016, please and thanks.
