‘Champagne Papi’ Drake is undoubtedly raising a toast to the history-making chart performance of his latest album ‘Views.’
Dominating album charts for 9 consecutive weeks, the set – kicked off by the hotly performing Hot 100 blockbuster ‘One Dance’ – debuted at #1 and has yet to leave the spot. Enjoying yet another week atop the album chart thanks to some strong streaming numbers (over 1 billion to date), Billboard reports:
Views earned 111,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 30, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 25,000 were in traditional album sales. The bulk of Viewsunits were driven by streaming equivalent album units (67,000)…
Joining him at the top, once again, would be ‘Mine’ collaborator Beyonce. For her latest album, ‘Lemonade,’ Billboard reports:
At No. 2 on the new Billboard 200 is Beyonce’s Lemonade, which rises one slot with 48,000 units (down 3 percent). Since the album debuted at No. 1 — 10 weeks ago — it has never left the top four position of the chart.
