Blasts from the past rarely wow as much on second impact. Yet, Cher Lloyd is setting out to change that narrative with comeback single ‘Activated.’
The star rose to prominence on The X Factor UK and enjoyed a chart run on home soil which eventually landed her a US deal with the early incarnation of L.A Reid‘s Epic.
A string of respectable Stateside placements followed; yet with the label being in its infancy and no sizeable smash in sight, Lloyd quietly departed.
With the music industry being one of no guarantees, many assumed the singer had faded into the Pop abyss.
In reality, she was picking up the pieces. A journey which has led her to the release of this new number.
Can she activate another run of relevance? Take a listen below and let us know…
Well, come through Cher!
The lush production paired with the infectious hooks makes this all sorts of memorable. What’s more, the track manages to fit in the thick of what’s hot while maintaining an air of individuality – thanks to her unique vocal delivery.
As an independent act, she has her work cut out for her serving this to as many ears and eyes as possible.
Still, with the song being as hot as it is, half the battle in won.
Welcome back.
cute song, came out of nowhere. nice to know she’s still signed
Cheryl got charged up only to be DEACTIVATED again! This song is whack!
BITXH!!!! ????!!! You A Mess for that!
It’s cute for radio but she is done. These girls who are basic take these long extended breaks thinking they can come back with generic bops. She in the same boat as Fergie.
Bye sis, this is NOT Cheryl
Me like! Hopefully she can finally break through to the US audience. I can see this all over the Radio.
Damn I forgot about this girl you know. So much going on to keep my mind busy these days ????
I don’t know, it kind of seems like all over the place. The chorus is nice though, good luck Cher.
It’s a cute song
Hook is a bop nicely done.
Verses coulda came even more harder but pleasantly surprised.
Yassss that gif tho ??
Who?????
Lol she has that one annoying Ass Stan that comments on everyone’s post, I’m glad he/she finally has something to listen to
SHE SIGNED TO UNIVERSAL ACTUALLY FOR THIS THIRD ALBUM
When i read and saw the gif i thought this was going to be fire! But it really is tepid. I guess after the flop of the second album she’s gone back to the sound of her debut, but unfortunately it doesn’t show much growth.
I’m interested to see the visual.
That picture – knock off of Tinashe’s Player artwork much?

Didn’t like it
Who?
Sounds nothing like her, but I can see this somehow making it to the US. Mainly bc no one knows who she is.
Oh SH!T, wrong Chevy. Shows how irrelevant both girls are. lol
Or how irrelevant all of your flop faves are
I love “Sirens”! I wish it became a hit.
This white gurrrrrl needs to stop
The song is alright
