An error made by a Mexican retailer has seen Britney Spears’ new album ‘Glory‘ surface online.

Spears’ new album was set to drop on August 26th with support from her forthcoming performance at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
Things have now changed.
Why?
A music retailer in Mexico received physical copies of the project and released the set to the general public.
Within hours, the album had sold out and saw its songs shared online spelling trouble for the ‘Make Me’-led campaign.

Hmm hmm I’m pretty sure her camp leaked the album to create some buzz around the album which was inexstant especially with the first single flopping . But anyway the album is actually quite good so I’ll definitly support. Hopefully news outlet running this “leak ” story and her perfomance at the VMA’s will give her a good enough debut. She’s still in her thirties and still have media relevance there’s no reason for her not doing Beyonce or Pink numbers those are her actual peers

I’m curious, do these album sales in Mexico count for chart positioning? It would be a shame if not. By the way, album is crazy. Loved it. So fresh. The 4 songs released to hype the album are not even the best ones. So many great songs on the album. Production is slick. Her voice in general sounds great. Singing in a range that suits her vocally. If you liked her albums ‘In The Zone’ and ‘Blackout’ you will love this. The future looks promising for miss Britney Spears.
Every country has their own charts, so this won’t count for Billboard 200. But it will hurt her because now the songs are online so some might decide not to buy the album. Such a shame because it is her best work in a while

Full Moon is more underrated than a classic, altho her fans praise that album. I just listen to it and it’s a great album, sound wise. For DC, I would put Writings On The Wall over DF. DF came and went like last month’s rent. It was forgotten by 2006. But the other albums you named DID change the game during their time. So I see what your tried to do.

I would have imagined you to be one of those who say Lana can´t sing and that´s it. I´m glad. That album was phenomenal. And that girl can´t sing live but her artistry is great and has her own style.
Classics by females from the 00s could be Amy´s “Back to Black” (definitely) or Alicia´s debut for example too.

Sorry, but Mariah/Whiteny/Britney doesn’t have the albums nor era that are known by album names. For example, when I say Control era, you know what I’m talking about, from the year to the singles. Same with RN, Janet and VR. I’m not big on Grandonna, but even I know her eras by album titles. Same with MJ, you name their era by ALBUMS. The others I name, you name their hit singles. They were single artist that sold a lot of albums, but never had full great albums. IMO

WOW Dolly Parton??? That´s so surprising to hear. Not mad at all cause even though I have listened to very little songs from her I know she´s a great songwriter and she has her status well earned. I remember one little song she made for a movie in 2006 or so that she sang at the oscars and it was so simple yet so beautiful and moving.
I have to agree with Mark! Out of all the artists mentioned here, Janet’s eras are certainly the most distinctive. The legends all have hits and big selling albums, but Janet’s evolved masterfully from era to era imo, more so than her peers (who were either riding the wave of success from previous eras that was easy to capitalize off of or just releasing albums with huge hits that weren’t celebrated as an entire body of work). From Control to TVR, Janet has scored each time! Only Madonna can rival that CONSISTENCY, when it comes to having iconic album/eras. I’m not saying both women haven’t been outperformed in some of these eras, I just think it’s rare to see artists concretely delivering 4 (or more) stand-out musical pieces that can all be listed in a greatest albums of all time collection!
