NSYNC Reunite

Published: Tuesday 9th Aug 2016 by Sam

NSYNC have reunited…somewhat.

The pioneers of modern Pop made a rare appearance together last night to celebrate the 40th birthday of member JC Chasez.

Since disbanding in 2003, it’s been all sorts of rare to see the quintet together.

Justin Timberlake, of course, went on to become Justin Timberlake, while JC, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick  have ventured into television.

They last appeared together at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, where they performed as part of JT’s Video Vanguard presentation.

How do the ‘POP’ singers look now? Find out after the jump…

Sharing the shot below, Timberlake captioned it:

JC’s 40th… And, if you don’t know now you know…

Time has clearly been kind to the guys. It’s great to see there’s still a bond of sorts.

NSYNC are interesting in that, as much as we enjoyed their blockbuster run (which included selling 2.4 million of their 2nd album…in one week), we don’t have a burning desire for a reunion.

For us, the group feel like a collective that belong to a specific space in time – an important one, yet one that doesn’t necessarily demand revisiting.

Saying that, it’d be cool to see them spring up every so often (i.e. to present awards together) so as to provide a gentle reminder of their legacy.
