Could this Sunday’s VMAs get any bigger?
The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards already boasts confirmed performances from the likes of Britney Spears, Rihanna, and allegedly Beyonce.
Now, sources are saying Kanye West will be taking to the stage too.
Full story below…
Per TMZ:
[The rapper] will have free reign over the stage at this weekend’s VMAs and show producers are expecting something big … they just have no idea WHAT it will be.
A source close to production says MTV honchos are giving ‘Ye 4 minutes to do with as he pleases. He can rap, sing, dance or even just stay silent … and we’re told show producers are totally clueless which door he’ll pick.
For us, very little of Kanye’s recent output has been the kind of compelling to rouse interest. Still, there’s no denying that – on paper, at least – his addition to the bill adds a layer of star power to an already solid line-up.
One has to wonder whether he will use the platform to push ‘Famous’ – the controversial song which has seen him locked in a public spat with Taylor Swift (who he referred to as a “bitch.”)
Tune in this Sunday to see what goes down at the 2016 VMAs, which air live from Madison Square Garden at 8/9c.
