Ariana Grande Re-Signs With Scooter Braun

Ariana Grande‘s career is once-again being steered by Scooter Braun.

Are the so so sales of her new album the catalyst for the power player’s comeback?

Full story below…

The surprising development, confirmed today by Billboard, comes after the songbird severed ties with the mega-manager (whose roster includes Justin Bieber) early this year. Oddly, just before the launch of her ‘Dangerous Woman’ album campaign.

Indeed, as some will recall, the 23-year-old inked a lucrative deal with the music mogul in 2013, achieving – under his guidance – impressive success with her debut and sophomore eras.

The pair hit a hurdle, however, with 2015’s ‘Focus.’

With the track scrapped after a respectable but underwhelming chart run, Grande flew to pastures not so new; returning to her previous managers and adding her Mom into the mix.

The latest switcheroo has some folk wondering whether the underperformance of the ‘Dangerous’ LP is the root of Braun’s return.

As at writing, the project has only sold 236,000 copies since its release in May and, though generating decent sized hits, has only seen one of them (its title track) impact the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.

If indeed the case, Ari’s right for having no shame in her game.

Far too many Pop acts see their careers fall on the sword of pride.

The stars whose light last the longest are those savvy enough to know where their bread is buttered. And for Ms. Grande, it’s clear hers is with Scooter.

With things already on an upswing (see: ‘Side To Side’ and upcoming tour),

LOL! I’m glad that she saw Dangerous Flop was careening down the charts and swallowed her pride to do this … a bit embarrassing on her part, though. I wonder which rapper he’ll set her up with this time.

Not gonna lie but she should make Sometimes and Leave Me Lonely as singles including vids with great concepts.

Ummm, it actually sold 600k in US with sales + streams which is pretty good. Hell, not even 5H could reach 500k units there in sales + streams after 4 months of it’s release

This screams desperation. Might as well if she didn’t already record a new album. I wouldnt care muvh for Scooter though, just look at Ushers units smh.

We’ll see how this turns out. In my opinion, Scooter can’t manage two artistseparate at once. It’s very clear who he prioritizes, ie how Ariana’s debut was eclipsed because he was trying to save Justin’s career or how Tori Kelly got the back seat during the My Everything era. But she definitely needs a better team cause this Era was handled so poorly. Into You should’ve been a hit and Side to Side, the only album filler, should NOT have been released.

Personally i think that the music that would’ve come out of Scooters direction would’ve been dire because that focus frosty pink lacefront pony was dire and so was the song.
Dangerous woman in most parts was a decent album and would’ve been an exceptional one if sung by Christina Aguilera. The problem with Ariana is something that Scooter cannot change, and that is her tone, range and dictation which is an ongoing problem.
and this overly sexual lolita image just isn’t working.
