With the ‘Purpose’ album, Justin Bieber made a credibility play that paid all the way off.
The set, which spurned hits such as ‘Sorry’ and ‘What Do Mean?’ saw the former teen singer complete his transition into an adult force.
Still, it seems the 22-year-old is still on the hunt for cool points. Case in point his cover choices on his BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge performance today.
Surprisingly, the Canadian crooner decided to try his hand at Tupac‘s ‘Thugz Mansion’ and Tracy Chapman‘s classic ‘Fast Car.’
How did he fare? Find out below…
Though not the car crash many expected, his voice didn’t suit either song.
Respect to this little skinny white chick
Justin, you are a white kid from canada whose been rich since 14. You can’t relate in the slightest bit to neither song. It’s offensive, please stop.
oh, and your flow is as stale as year old bread.
So Pretentious…
Lol!
Chillllleeeeeee
A hot flat, patchy mess.
The reason why I can’t really get into Justin’s voice despite his recent material being solid is that it just seems ‘wooden’. There’s very little agility to it so when tries to execute those Usher and Chris Brown-esque riffs and runs, he just sounds messy. He tried Tupac and Tracy with those covers.
Can his fans grow up already so he can be OVER?
Unfortunately those 20,30 and 40 year old women think that his latest album is amazing. There will be a few decades before he’s gone.
This was an absolute mess it was almost offensive.
He’s just as fake as the other Justin.
He did ok
