Earlier this week Billboard went to press citing sources that confirmed the singer was in talks to perform at the high-profile event next year.
Today, US Weekly went a step further to confirm the news.
The latter seemed to be the straw that broke the camels back, because the NFL have issued a formal statement denying the confirmation. It read…
“We have had conversations with several fantastic artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, at this point we do not have a final decision. We’re happy there is so much excitement about the show.” [Source]

We can all agree on one thing now: Gaga cannot make music without relying in the past. PERFECT DELUSION, as all of her music, sounds dated — and don’t call it “retro,” folks. It would be “retro” if this was one song (or one album) inspired by a classic genre, or classic hits, which is not the case; Gaga’s entire career was built on borrowing sounds from the past with no intention of adding personality or originality (just pretension). PERFECT DELUSION sounds like 80s trash pop rock (with the disco references and all) – just like many songs in her first major flop in music, the overhyped 99c album “Born This Way” (2011). 🙁

One of the biggest mistakes she made in her career (despite that Gaga still denies to this day) was that she blatantly ripped off Madge’s Express Yourself. In her deranged mentality, she thought she would be the “new Madonna” ready to take her throne… but not long after we [Madonna fans & those who lived through 80’s] stopped her from happening. I remember the first time I listened to Poker Face, Paparazzi and Bad Romance and I go watch her videos to see what’s all the hype about. I admit I started to like her videos….UNTIL the day Alejandro video was released and I swear, it has Express Yourself/Vogue all through this b****! Ripped without credit, I was immediately put off by it. ? That was 6 years ago. Many people say her career has been in decline when Born This Way era came out… But I noticed her declining after releasing her Alejandro video. Note: it was the last song from The Fame Monster. Things haven’t gotten better after that.
