Expanding on the decision to salute the singer, the network touted her platinum selling success as an artist, accolades as an actress, and 40 million + record sales. They also note her respective wins at the Grammy Awards, AMAs, and Billboard Music Awards.
Brandy serves as the second ever act to be bestowed the award, following last year’s inaugural honoree Jill Scott.
The 2016 Soul Train Awards, which B-Rocka is also set to perform at, tapes November 6th at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas and will be hosted by Erykah Badu.
