As reported, Mariah Carey hosted a star-studded Halloween party over the weekend; yet there was one name noticeably missing – her fiancé James Packer.
Well, if new reports prove true, the reason for his absence isn’t as surprising in hindsight.
The two have apparently split.

TMZ say sources close to the singer’s upcoming E! series ‘Mariah’s World’ claim the relationship has been plagued with “issues.”
One of them is said to center on “some sort of rendezvous [Mimi had] with one of the dancers in her Vegas show … something that is on video for the reality show.”
What’s more, Packer is alleged to have hated the show – which Carey calls a “docu-series” – from the get-go.
For what it’s worth, the same sources claim the couple are “done for now” – alluding, it seems, to a potential for reconciliation.
The pair were in engaged in January of this year – after less than a year of dating.

Color us cynical; but with just over a month to go before ‘Mariah’s World’ premieres, this could very well be a planted rumor so as to rouse interest.
Or they really could have parted.
Both scenarios are sad.
