In an era of sneak releases and the shunning of traditional mediums, Lady Gaga is proving that good ol’ promo still works.
The singer’s ‘Joanne’ topped the charts in countless countries last week.
Still, in not resting on her laurels, the Super Bowl headliner jetted out to Japan (where the LP hit #1) for a week’s worth of appearances.
The first was a performances spot on Sukkiri, where Mother Monster amazed with an acoustic rendition of ‘Perfect Illusion.’
Watch the vocal powerhouse soar below…
Despite the ironically polarizing response to ‘Perfect,’ it remains one of our favourites from ‘Joanne.’
Indeed, whether sung to thumping production or stripped back as was the case here, it cuts deep with its resonating lyrics and Gaga’s gorgeous vocals.
The annunciation of “illoooshion” is an eternal LOL, but who cares…Gaga’s back!
Well, Well, Well all the beehive and navy tried to say she was a flop, her cd was trash, and the Madonna-wannabe – has a Number 1 CD, two hits in the top 100, Superbowl forthcoming. Now the losers and rightfully, have several seats. Congrats white girl.
“If anybody is questioning why Billboard
is still publishing an average of 8 front-page Lady Gaga stories a day, we have an answer. Pop Music Scandal can reveal that in addition to the cash Lady Gaga has paid Billboard to promote her and help her manipulate chart positions, Gaga’s management has agreed to pay
Billboard 5 percent of all the album’s earnings. Sort of shady for a magazine that is supposed to be the Bible of the music industry!
Joanne legitimately did well its first week considering there has been no hit single. But Joanne actually sold around 150,000 copies last week, not 170,000. Lady Gaga and her management purchased over 10,000 copies to give away, use as promotion, etc. There are 10,500 reported sales of Joanne that aren’t accounted for, indicating that
Billboard and Soundscan agreed to cheat their numbers. There are also at least 8,000 copies of Joanne that were deeply discounted to $3.99. This should be an international scandal. But Lady Gaga is, for the most part, protected by the mainstream media, and a lot of that has to do with $$$ and her father’s mafia connections.
In addition to manipulating the album charts, Gaga has been manipulating the single charts as well. Last week, her new single “Million Reasons” hit No. 1, and Gaga bragged in all her interviews what a big hit it has been. There is just one problem; the song was sold for 69 cents — that’s half the price of a regular single. Pop Music Scandal can reveal that Interscope purchased more than 2,000 copies of the song as well to inflate interest.
Many people have asked us how Lady Gaga has this much money to spend if she’s not getting so much in returns. A lot of it has to do with her father, Joe Germonatta, who has several mafia connections. Somehow, Interscope is intertwined with the mafia connections. We will have more about this soon.”

LMAO GIRL BYE, NOBODY PAYS THAT FAKE ASSS CLICKBAIT SITE ANY MIND. STAY MAD AT SLAYANNE LMAO.
Lies……some of u can’t stand her succeSs.
Isn´t this the first promo she´s done outside the USA for the album? The campaign has been sooooo small compared to her previous offerings. Even Bruno has already performed on maisntream tv in the UK way before his album release. I don´t know how anyone can say she has had especially huge promo when reality is mainstream promo has not happened until release week really. She´s doing great.
She sounding more and more broadway
so pitchy
good arrangement but the vocals are wack
TGJ saying ‘Perfect Illusion’ stands as one of their favorite tracks on the album. Imagine how much the rest of the album sucks, haha! OK now, jokes aside, I like almost all the songs on the album, I have one issue with it. Lady Gaga singing them. It doesnt feel genuine, its not her. Its like an act. An act she plays extremely well. But I feel it lacks authenticity. Where as the epic ‘Bad Romance’ felt so natural. For some reason, whenever Madonna reinvented herself, it felt more real. And not forced. For me Gaga is an “act” its like we are watching a movie. She was a full on pop character, then a jazz queen, and now a stripped back artist. I am/was a fan. I have all the albums, because Im a fan of music. But not so much of Gaga anymore. And the way she got “offended” when compared to Madonna?!?! LOL! Please Gaga, seriously, go ‘Dance In Circles’ and then take a seat.
LMAO SLAYANNE GOT THE GIRLS MAD AF, WRITING ESSAYS AND DISSERTATIONS AND SHYT LMFAO.
Wow
