Murda Inc’s Ashanti and Ja Rule have reunited for a ‘Helpless‘ cause.
With their respective sights set on new career highs in the coming year, the pair team up to support the ‘Hamilton’ soundtrack by releasing their own version of the song which features in the musical.
A tolerance for pain. A couple of college credits and my top-notch brain.
Listen below…
Why Rule? The show’s creator Lin-Manuel Miranda explained:
When I was writing that song, I was picturing it as Ashanti and Ja Rule. I was like, ‘Eliza’s Ashanti. Hamilton’s Ja Rule. Two verses, two choruses. A little Ja Rule. And then they’re married.
The ‘Hamilton’ mixtape drops on December 2nd.
Ok now…
She should do a song with the Filipino Stallion, Bruno Mars
I just got gassed thinking it was a new single ?. I miss the murderinc era and Ashanti’s debut. Baby, Foolish, Movies,Leaving. Rain On Me, the list goes on. Music will never be the same.JaRules husky voice too?. These male rappers these days are too soft, they don’t make me squirt or nothing. Sigh lol
Eww
Haha my apologies. Never meant literally.
Trash!!
Love. It reminds me the Murder inc back in the days with Ja Rule energy and Ashanti as the side Chick
OMG I feel old Ashanti …her tone, wordiness, and melodies have always been distinct and dope. #Hamilton #Chills Go #Ashanti
Couldn’t get pass 17sec.No thanks!
B**** please go check on your Ham or something and stop hating.
Byttch…if you were hungry, all you had to do was ask for a plate, and I would’ve gladly told yo hungry azzz hell nah…Happy Thanksgiving Muthfukkka.?
The piano almost sounds just like “S** On Fire”…that’s the only good thing I have to say about the sound. Not a big Ashanti fan but I did enjoy the hell out of “Braveheart”.
Love it
Not a bad song it nice song more like pop song
Never been a fan of eithers sound but it’s a cute song…
This is corny.
Don’t care for it. Could have been a track filler for Chapter II
Some of y’all commenting on this track like it’s her comeback single or something. It’s a remake of a BROADWAY song folks. It’s not going to sound like a hit single fools or anything that’s out now for that matter. I like it for what it is and just hope she builds on this hype to push out the actual first single and album.
