New Song: Ashanti & Ja Rule – ‘Helpless (#Hamilton)

Murda Inc’s Ashanti and Ja Rule have reunited for a ‘Helpless‘ cause.

With their respective sights set on new career highs in the coming year, the pair team up to support the ‘Hamilton’ soundtrack by releasing their own version of the song which features in the musical.

A tolerance for pain. A couple of college credits and my top-notch brain.

Why Rule?  The show’s creator Lin-Manuel Miranda explained:

When I was writing that song, I was picturing it as Ashanti and Ja Rule. I was like, ‘Eliza’s Ashanti. Hamilton’s Ja Rule. Two verses, two choruses. A little Ja Rule. And then they’re married.

 

The ‘Hamilton’ mixtape drops on December 2nd.
