The ever impressive Dawn Richard completes the final chapter in her creative story with the release of ‘Redemption’, her latest LP.
I spent more time on this album than any other era because I wanted it to be special. I wanted to speak on self discovery. What it means to be black. To be a woman. To speak on gay rights. To speak on black crimes. To talk about sexual discovery. And to find redemption in having a voice to do so. Thank you for standing in this movement with me. For fighting in each era and growing with me. You have a heart for life.
The set is now available to stream below and follows her short-lived return to Danity Kane and several live dates delivered to fans around the world.
How that journey has inspired her?

This woman never tire? Nah every 2 weeks she dey release album?
I really didn’t like the snippets I heard . I’ve supported all her other projects but nothing on this album sounded good to me .
I love Dawn but I honestly feel the same TBH
Garbage album. Yeah music and super nasal vocals
This album isn’t good. I loved A Tell Tale Heart (Vibrate is amazing and should be longer), Armour On and Goldenheart. Blackheath, whilst different, was good too. But this album was too much of a mess. It seems like it’s targeted to those who like generic gay club music. It’s disappointing that she has gotten progressively worse as she has gone along.
* Blackheart
I must be the only person who enjoys this album. Dawn is so far ahead of her peers, her music and artistic vision is out of this world. Loved this album! ?
I love the album too. It’s not garbage like someone said. Some people get it and some don’t. If they know dawn they know she said there’s an album for everyone. Some like Gold, some like Black and some like Red.
The album is really good.
I only like interludes. I need a tell tale heart dawn, I need golden heart dawn, I need dirty money Dawn to come back.
!!!!!!!!
Brilliant album and solid critic reviews. This release should win her a Grammy! LA, Hey Nikki, Black Crimes, Lazarus… 5 stars! Go get ‘Em Dawn!
Are y’all kidding?! This album is fire! Renegades >>>>>>>
Honestly, this record is better than I expected it to be. Black Heart underwhelmed me, so I wasn’t expecting much more from this album. It’s actually not a terrible listen, but I definitely have to be in the mood for it. I still say Dawn shines in the Urban Pop and alternative R&B lanes like none other. Hopefully, she goes that to a more urban sound since this trilogy is over. I miss the old Dawn and I’m over all this EDM. It’s enough artists already doing that sound. Dawn has what most of them don’t have… VOCALS!, which she dumbs down when doing this kind of music.
I’m just wondering why she put none of her singles on the actual record. Seemed like those had much more energy than what the album is now. It just sounds like the leftovers or something idk
Nice
