Janet Jackson & Chaka Khan Snubbed [Again] For Induction Into Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame

Published: Wednesday 21st Dec 2016 by Rashad

One has stunned audiences with soaring vocal displays for nearly half a century while the other began rendering electrifying performances before she could even ride a bike.  Both have amassed industry acclaim over their illustrious careers (including Grammys) and influenced generations of entertainers after them.

Yet, while the titles ‘diva,’ ‘icon,’ ‘trailblazer,’ and many more labels of praise have been cast the direction of Queen of Funk Chaka Khan and pop queen Janet Jackson many times over the years,’inductee into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame’ – once again – eludes their grasps.

Details inside:

Among the nominees eligible for entry into the exclusive club, the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame officially announced its list of inductees yesterday:

Needless to say, fans of both songstress’s were not pleased with the news.  For Khan, whose first solo album dropped in 1978 (years after her work with Rufus), her eligibility (technically) began as early as the mid-90s.  Jackson, on the other hand, has been eligible since 2007.

Their names are added to the many R&B divas who have found themselves overlooked by the committee including Whitney Houston, Sade, Mariah Carey (as of last year), and many more.
