Uber Accused Of Spying On Beyonce

Published: Tuesday 13th Dec 2016 by David

For millions, Uber serves a convenient and affordable way to get around their towns and cities.

For one of its former employees, it stands as an unscrupulous business which has been spying on one of its customers… a young woman named Beyonce.

A report that’ll drive her fans crazy below…

Mr. Samuel Ward Spangenberg was employed by the company’s executives to serve as its forensic investigator.

Alas, his working relationship with them turned sour when he accused them of discriminating against him on the grounds of his age and punishing him for being a whistleblower.

What he revealed?

The company’s alleged habit of spying on high profile politicians, relatives of Uber employees and Beyonce.

According to Samuel, the singer’s account was spied on regularly via the business’ ‘God View‘ to monitor her journeys. Worrying, when one considers Kim Kardashian’s recent security breach.

‘The Guardian’ explains:

Spangenberg’s allegations were reported by the Centre for Investigative Reporting’s (CIR) Reveal project, but it isn’t the first time Uber has been accused of mistreating customer data. In 2014, Buzzfeed revealed the existence of the “God View” tool, after Uber’s New York general manager discussed using it to track a reporter’s journey. The tool’s existence appears to date back to 2011, when venture capitalist Peter Sims says he was tracked by a visitor to Uber’s Chicago offices, where the God View data was shown on a large public screen.

Uber countered with:

Uber continues to increase our security investments and many of these efforts, like our multi-factor authentication checks and bug bounty program, have been widely reported. We have hundreds of security and privacy experts working around the clock to protect our data. This includes enforcing to authorised employees solely for purposes of their job responsibilities, and all potential violations are quickly and thoroughly investigated.
