Amber Riley has been thrilling audiences in London in the Westend incarnation of ‘Dreamgirls.’
The former ‘Glee’ star has taken on the role of Effie White and is rocking it.
Proving she can slay any stage, she took the production’s signature song ‘And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.’ to the 2016 Royal Variety Performance last night.
Backed by a gorgeous orchestra, Riley took vocal flight with the song made famous by Jennifer Holliday and refreshed by Jennifer Hudson.
Watch her wow after the jump…
Brilliant rendition.
In today’s age, “success” is relative and can ultimately be obtained beyond the spheres of music charts and TV shows. It’s great to see Riley finding her light and sparkling bright.
Power house ???
love love love this girl. I hope she keeps slaying on stages worldwide!
When will white women?

Sorry I’m not a fan of her voice, it’s to nasal for my liking and lacks a punch.
Jennifer Holiday’s version (the original) will always be King.
I apologize, I judged to soon. I went back and watched the whole performance, instead of skipping through it her voice has definitely matured since glee. Good job.
Her tone is different for this song. She’s a good singer though.
who’s this gorilla ?
Cute try
I liked it, I just felt she was kinda disconnected and wasn’t really feeling it very much, but great performance nonetheless.
Nice
