The 2017 Grammys may as well have been named “the Adele show.”
The powerhouse diva, whose 2015 & 2016 were already monstrous in sales and critical acclaim, is kicking of 2017 with similar treatment thanks to a Grammy sweep that saw her nab “Album of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” and “Record of the Year” honors. In fact, she won every single award she was nominated for at tonight’s ceremony.
The night may have had a few performance hiccups, but all of that was overshadowed when the singer/songwriter took to the stage to accept the night’s most anticipated golden gramophones and, in a twist, even dedicated two of the wins to her idol Beyonce…
A few fun facts:
- Adele has won every Grammy she’s been nominated for since 2011
- She’s captured 13 trophies over two albums – ’21’ and ’25’
- She’s the proud owner of 15 Grammys in total (over just 3 albums)
- She’s the first artist to win Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year twice
Pretty safe to say she’s having the best night ever.
