Bad news for fans of Mariah Carey and Lionel Richie.
The pair’s planned tour, initially scheduled to to kick off next month, has been postponed.
Find out why below…
In a statement issued to press moments ago, Richie cited a knee injury as the reason for the halt to the ‘All Of The Hits Tour.’ He said…
“When you have been performing as long as I have it takes a toll on your body. Unfortunately, my recovery from a knee procedure will not have me 100 percent ready to start the tour next month. I don’t want to disappoint my fans, and I look forward to being back on stage so we can all be ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ together again.” [Source]
While we wish Richie a speedy recovery, the news comes at an interesting junction.
For, earlier month reports hit the wire suggesting the duo were struggling to sell tickets – with a 2-for-1 package deal being offered for several dates.
The statement added that the shows will play on this summer, with all purchased tickets being honored.
